C & J Welding & Maintenance

C & J Welding & Maintenance

C & J Welding & Maintenance was established in 1995 in Echuca, Victoria. Our goal then as it continues through to today, was to provide the food industry with a local source of expertise to install and maintain Conveying Systems, Pressure Vessel Repairs, Product and Process Piping and Pressure Piping in both Stainless & Mild Steels. With senior staff members having many years of combines experience we believe that we can provide the skills necessary to meet all our clients' needs. Being a small company, our overheads are kept to a minimum and we believe that this with our extensive experience enables us to provide a cost effective and efficient service for all of our client's needs.

Some of our customers include the following companies located throughout Victoria & New South Wales :

  • Murray Goulburn

  • GEA Process Engineering

  • Heinz - Watties

  • Kraft

  • Simplot Australia

  • Unilever

As experts in the food industry, C & J Welding & Maintenance believe that we can meet all of our clients needs from ongoing maintenance to the installation and commissioning of prodsuction lines with associated machinery. Through Inox Australia, we are now LeGuard's of France preferred installer of Retorts throughout Australia.

Unlike some firms, all staff are full time employees. This enables us to maintain a continuity of skill levels and to work as a closely knit team to better provide an efficient and therefore cost effective service to our clients. We also believe in continuing to develop skills locally. Through MEGT Traineeships, we employ a couiple of apprentices usually 2 years apart so that the knowledge and experience gained by senior staff over many years will not be lost and will be retained locally.

All our staff are qualified trades people and as such are fully conversant with WorkSafe policies and procedures, i.e. Confined Space, Working at Heights, Lock and Tag Out procedures and are fully qualified to undertake any tasks that are required, i.e. Fork Lift License, Dogman Qualifications, CI Induction Certificates etc. We have developed a site management plan (see attached template), which we modify for each site we commence work on. We can either use our own or our clients Hot Work Permits, JSAs or SWMS and can submit these either in paper form or electronically as required.

All staff are constantly undergoing further training and development to ensure that all legal and safety requirements are met. We were established in 1995 and pride ourselves on having zero lost time in injury with our operations.
